End Polio Now Club Donations
The Rotary Club of North Jackson is promoting End Polio Now month by raising funds. Club members' donations to PolioPlus will be matched by the club. Donations will go toward your Paul Harris Foundation contributions. The club is also collecting "Change for PolioPlus", where club members can bring their pocket change to put into the bucket. Rotarians’ contributions to PolioPlus help fund planning by technical experts, large-scale communication efforts to make people aware of the benefits of vaccinations, and support for volunteers who go door to door.

Prayer
With the ancient Psalmist, O God, we echo the praises given throughout the centuries by all who have recognized your greatness. As Rotarians we recognize and readily acknowledge that our chief purpose of serving others has divine origin, a mandate to all men and women of faith. We tender out thanks for the gifts of food and fellowship which we enjoy, and for the mutual support we experience. Let our table conversations be uplifting, our concern for others genuine, and the time spent together productive and rewarding. Amen.
October 22nd Meeting
Dr. Nelson Atehourta "Dr. A" spoke to the Rotary Club of North Jackson during its October 22, 2024, meeting. Dr. A, a polio survivor and Chair of our district's polio run and walk, informed club members about the event and World Polio Day. Dr. A also game club members an update on Rotary International's mission to help eradicate polio. Only 12 cases of wild polio were reported in 2024.
