Prayer
Almighty God, whose springtime creative activity is being revealed in the natural world, and whose love and mercy are continuously revealed in the experiences of our lives, we thank you for life and all its components, both good and adverse, because through both we are strengthened. We offer thanks for food awaiting our enjoyment in the context of purposeful fellowship. In the spirit, as well as with words of gratitude, we offer this prayer. Amen.

Shower Power Donations
Shower Power is currently in great need of men’s tennis shoes (sizes 10–14) and men’s underwear (new) in sizes medium, large, and extra-large. They also need pop-top food items. Please bring the donations to our meeting and we will deliver them to Shower Power.
Proposed New Member
Dr. Stanley J. “Stan” Sims has been proposed for membership in the Rotary Club of North Jackson by Dr. Monica Lewis and is sponsored for membership by Past President Don Roberts. Stan grew up in Vicksburg and attended Warren Central High School. He began his higher education at Jackson State University where he played football. His education continued at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. He has practiced Chiropractic in Jackson for the past 23 years. Currently, his office is located at 500 E. Woodrow Wilson Ave. Stan is a member of the Mississippi Chiropractic Association and serves as a Board member and Treasurer of the JSU Tiger Fund Athletic Foundation. He lives in the Bruenburg subdivision in Clinton. He will be loaned the classification, Chiropractor, after his membership is approved by the Board. This is the 1st publication of this proposed new member.
April 7th Meeting
Shelia Byrd, deputy director of the Programs and Communications Division of the Mississippi Department of Archives & History, spoke to the Rotary Club of North Jackson on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.
