Gracious God, in the midst of these summer days we are grateful that your love and grace are not seasonal but continuous. Through we may complain of heat from summer sun, help us to remember its benefits in our natural would. May our gathering here today
re-energize us for opportunities. Bless our food and fellowship, not just for our own personal needs but for strength to serve others. We are grateful for the privilege of so doing. Amen.
JPD Chief Speaks Tomorrow
Jackson Police Department Chief Dr. RaShall Brackney will be the guest speaker during tomorrow's meeting. Chief Brackney was appointed as Jackson’s police chief by Mayor John Horhn and confirmed by the Jackson City Council, officially beginning her tenure on April 1, 2026.
July 14th Meeting
Jimmy Henderson, a volunteer with the Alzheimer's Association, Mississippi Chapter, spoke to the Rotary Club of North Jackson during their July 14, 2026, meeting. Henderson informed club members the 12 warning signs of Alzheimer's. Alzheimer’s disease is a degenerative brain disease and the most common cause of dementia. In Mississippi, over 62,500 individuals are living with Alzheimer's disease, and approximately 93,000 caregivers provide around 175 million hours of unpaid care annually.
