Club Announcements:
February 6th Speaker
Ted Henifin the Interim Third-Party Manager of the City of Jackson’s drinking water, the associated billing system and the sewer system, JXN Water, will be our guest speaker for the February 6, 2024 club meeting. Henifin will give us an update of the water and sewer systems.
Precinct 4 Officer of the Quarter
Jackson Police Department's Precinct 4 Officer Marshawn Patton was honored as the Officer of the Quarter during our Jan. 30th meeting. Officer Patton led the investigation and arrest of a man charged with vehicular homicide and other charges, after running into and killing a local pizza delivery driver. New Member Induction
Jared Rogers was inducted as our club's newest member during the January 30th meeting. Jared is the branch manager for the Kessler Federal Credit Union in Ridgeland. Dr. Clay Hayes, a local cardiologist, spoke to our club during its January 30th meeting about the Museum Trail in Jackson and the LeFleur East Foundation. O God of Majesty and Might, we are awed by the magnitude of your power, the magnanimous nature of your mercy and love, the mystery of your being, yet the intimate reality of your presence. In this month designated as World Understanding Month, we pray for deeper appreciation of countries and cultures beyond our own, and for Rotarians in those places they serve. Accept now our thanks for all earthly provisions for our needs, and for spiritual resources to pursue opportunities to serve others. Amen.
