Club Elections Set
The Club's Nominating Committee chaired by Immediate Past President Larry Anderson has completed its work and President Matt Monsour has set Tuesday, March 26 as the date for Club Elections. Please plan to attend and vote for the Officers & Directors who will lead our Club in the next Rotary Year which begins on July 1.

Ryan Burns, an attorney in Madison, discussed D.B. Cooper: the only unsolved case of air piracy in the history of commercial aviation at the Rotary Club of North Jackson's March 12 meeting.
Proposed New Member Announcement
Dr. George Schimmel has been proposed for membership in the Rotary Club of
North Jackson by Luther Munford and is sponsored for membership by Past
President Charles Lindsay. George has lived and practiced medicine in the Jackson metro area for more than 47 years. Before his retirement, George practiced Cardiology. He studied at Tulane University and Millsaps College before completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Mississippi. He completed medical school at Vanderbilt University. He lives in Jackson with his wife, Dr. Ann Myers. They have three adult children. In addition to his medical practice, George has served the community in a variety of roles including service as a member of the Board of the Jackson Public Schools. He will be loaned the classification, Physician - Cardiologist after his membership is approved by the Board. This is the 2nd publication of this proposed new member.

The Rotary Club of North Jackson to host MEC's Amplify Tour
The Mississippi Economic Council, in partnership with The Rotary Club of North Jackson, will host The Amplify 2024 Regional Tour at its March 19 meeting. The meeting will start @ 11:30a.m. and end @ 1p.m. The Amplify 2024 Regional Tour will provide an opportunity for greater regional collaboration by bringing together leaders in business, economic development, workforce, education, housing, and other community representatives from across the state. Participants will hear from MEC CEO & President Scott Waller on MEC's 2024 Legislative priorities, and also from representatives and subject matter experts on the following topics: Healthcare, Education, student financial aid, and workforce funding.
