Prayer

O God whose summer schedule never includes vacation from your sovereign surveillance over the world, and your merciful vigilance over us in daily life, we are comforted by that know-ledge. We are challenged in response to not abandon our own attention to the re-sponsibilities of which we are stewards.

Grant your blessing to us as we partake gratefully of the gift of food and share fully in table fellowship. Then go with us as we go out to meet the opportunities of service awaiting us in places un-known at the moment. Amen.

More Young African Leaders  Visit the Rotary Club of North Jackson
The second group of 12 young African leaders participating in the Mandela Washington Fellowship program visited the Rotary Club of North Jackson on August 2. Like the first group that visited on July 26, this group of leaders is hosted by Jackson State University Professor and North Jackson Rotarian Dr. Sharon Simmons.

All 24 of the leaders studied with various American universities over the past two years. Those studies were conducted virtually from their home countries because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The current visit to the United States is the first visit to our country for many of the fellows.

Shown in the following photo are: (from the left) Rotarian Don Roberts, Stark Bode, an Artist from Togo, and Tsholofelo Letsholo, a Human Resources Management professional from Botswana.
