Billy Brumfield House Speaks to Rotary Club of North Jackson

Wilbur Logan, Executive Director of the Billy Brumfield House in Jackson spoke to the Rotary Club of North Jackson at its October 21 meeting. Mr. Logan described his journey from client to Executive Director of this men's shelter. He also discussed the pending closure of the shelter because of budget problems at its parent organization, Stewpot Ministries, due to the loss of a funding grant. Unless additional funding is secured, the shelter is scheduled to close on November 15, 2014. Per Mr. Logan, it costs about $11,000 per month to operate Billy Brumfield house. Please note that the Rotary Club of North Jackson provides evening meals to the Billyl Brumfiled House every month.
