Mr. Craig Ray spoke to the Rotary Club of North Jackson about
9/11 and the Politics of Security at the club's March 15, 2016
meeting. Mr. Ray discussed his situation and activities on Sep-
tember 11, 2001 when he was serving on the White House
staff of then U. S. President George W. Bush. At the beginning
of September 11, 2001, Mr. Ray was in New York City with a
group of colleagues preparing for the visit of the President to
the United Nations. Mr. Bush was in Florida that day visiting a
school. During the day Mr. Ray and his group relocated to Dov-
er Air Force Base in Delaware. That day, Mr. Bush relocated
from Florida to Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana and
then to a secure location in Kansas. Mr. Ray is shown at
the podium during his talk in the accompanying photo. We
thank him for his very interesting presentation to our club.
