Millsaps' Rhodes Scholars Speak to Rotary Club of North Jackson

Kenneth Townsend, Special Assistant to the President of Millsaps
College and Assistant Professor of Political Science and Erika Whe-
eler, a Senior History Major, both of whom are Rhodes Scholars,
spoke to the Rotary Club of North Jackson at its March 1, 2016
meeting. Mr. Townsend graduated from Millsaps in 2004, Oxford
University (UK) in 2006, and Yale Law School and Yale Divinity
School in 2012. Ms. Wheeler will attend Oxford beginning in Sep-
tember 2016. Her ultimate goal is to become a physician like her
parents. She is the first female African-American Rhodes Scholar
from Mississippi and the sixth Millsaps Rhodes Scholar.

The topic of their presentation was the process for becoming a
Rhodes Scholar. They are shown in the accompanying photo

period in the U.K.
