New Rotary Club of North Jackson Members Make Vocational Talks

New members of the Rotary Club of North Jackson, Ken Booker and Steele Dehmer made vocational talks at the Club's June 2, 2015 meeting. Ken Booker is  a graduate of Mississippi State University with a bachelors degree in Forestry and an MBA. He lives with his wife, Nicole, and four children in Clinton. Ken is employed by Regions Bank as a forester. He discussed his career and the current economic conditions in the timber industry. He said that beginning with the 2008 recession, timber prices have fallen 30 - 50% with a similar impact on the value of timberland. A number of sawmills have closed due to the economic conditions. Ken is shown to the right during his talk.

Steele Dehmer is a graduate of the university of Mississippi with degrees in psychology and sociology. He is employed as a Producer (Insurance Agent) with Insurance Protection Specialists in Flowood. He and his wife Katherine live in Madison. Steele is shown below during his presentation to the club.
